      Mr. Long has over 22 years of professional experience in the court system, and has practiced law in eastern North Carolina for over 16 years.  Mr. Long grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  He attended college at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The School of Criminal Justice.  After graduating from college, Mr. Long served as a police officer with the Winston-Salem Police Department and also served as a magistrate in Davidson County, North Carolina. 

       In order to further his career opportunities in the legal system, Mr. Long continued his education at 

The Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University where he earned his Juris Doctor degree. 

He received several honors and accolades while in law school for his litigation and advocacy skills, and has utilized these skills to develop a successful law practice serving clients in Craven, Pamlico, and Jones counties.
